How Much Does a Pilot Earn?

In this article we are going to cover the average salaries of pilots for countries globally. Before we start there are some points that I want to indicate. Maybe you are a pilot candidate having a research and you are curious about salaries of pilots. If so be sure that being a pilot is not type of proficiency just done for money. Being a pilot has some difficulties which potential candidates must take into consideration before stepping in (A Day in The Life of an Airline Pilot). Just search about these topics: Stress of being a pilot, potential health problems of pilots, family life of pilots… Bad news first ?

On the other hand, being a pilot has lots of benefits besides earning good money (It is fair to say that pilots earn relatively good money and I will give details soon). In addition to its high responsibility, job satisfaction is on high level for pilots in general, and flying through the World is amazing and makes you a “world citizen” by nature. These are just some positive sides and we can enhance them.

Now let’s come to our point: Salaries. I will give detailed numbers from all over the World and there will be at least one data from one continent which will help you to build a good frame.

While comparing the numbers among countries take into consideration the purchasing power and economic situation of the countries. For example, in country A you may build a better life with a lower salary than in country B.
