These centers established with investments of billions of dollars are reviewed by some institutions every year and their features such as services and facilities are graded. One of the most respected institutions that makes this rating is Skytrax company.
The UK based Skytrax company explores the best airports every year by evaluating passenger experience.
Skytrax has chosen the best airports of 2020 (The World’s Top 10 Airports of 2020, voted for by airport customers from across the world during the 2019-2020 World Airport Survey). Singapore Changi Airport was at the top for the 8th time in a row, while Japanese airports marked the top 10.
Singapore Changi Airport, which has been selected as the “Best Airport in the World” for the 11th time and 8th year in a row, Changi Airport took the first place on ranking again. While Tokyo Haneda was chosen second as it was last year, Hamad Airport, which was located in Doha, the fourth of last year, moved up one step by replacing with Incheon Airport.
Do Japanese airports start to dominate the list?
The growth of Japanese airports on the list was noteworthy. While two (2) airports were on the list in last year, Kansai Airport in Osaka, Japan and Chūbu Centrair International Airport in Nagoya also entered the list this year. The Japanese, which are among the most important in the cleanest airline list, are also on the way to becoming the best.
World’s Best Airport Shopping London Heathrow Airport
According to Skytrax 2020 assessment, Singapore’s Crown Plaza at Changi Airport was once again awarded as the “World’s Best Airport Hotel”. Hong Kong Airport won the World’s Best Airport immigration service award.
Outside Asia, Paris Orly Airport took the “World’s Most Improved Airport” award. and London Heathrow Airport was awarded as the Best Airport shopping in the World.
